I started working in this industry as a casual support worker, assisting those with mental health diagnoses to achieve their goals and increase their capacity to access the community. Following this, I became a Support Coordinator for a year. I then received a role as a Team Leader and led a team of Support Workers and Support Coordinators. I began working at My Right 2 Voice in February of 2022.
Specialization:
I would say my area of specialty is Mental Health however I also have a particular interest in the intersection between mental health and addiction. I have a lot of experience supporting those at risk of homelessness or experiencing housing breakdowns.
Achievements:
I have been able to support many clients at risk of homelessness or breakdowns in their tenancy to find suitable housing. In addition, I pride myself on promoting the rights of my clients especially when services are operating in a manner that is risk averse.
